DupSnap scans your photo library and automatically detects duplicate and near-duplicate images. Exact Match mode uses SHA256 hashing to find identical files with perfect precision. Similar Match mode uses perceptual hashing to catch look-alike photos even when file size or format differs. Review flagged pairs side by side with full metadata before deleting — so you never lose a photo you wanted to keep.
SHA256 hashing identifies photos that are byte-for-byte identical, no matter where they are in your library. Fast, accurate, and completely reliable.
Perceptual hashing (pHash) catches photos that look alike even when resolution, format, or file size differs — burst shots, re-saves, and near-duplicates all found.
Each duplicate pair opens in a detail view showing both photos and their full metadata — file name, size, resolution, date, checksum, and asset ID — so you can compare before deleting.
Move unwanted photos to the trash with a single tap. Photos go to Recently Deleted, not permanently erased, giving you a safety net for every deletion.
Exact Match scan uses SHA256 hashing to find photos that are completely identical at the file level. Similar Match scan uses perceptual hashing (pHash) to detect photos that look the same even if they have different file sizes, resolutions, or formats. Both modes run automatically with a single tap — no configuration needed.
Every flagged pair opens in a detail view where both photos are displayed together with complete metadata: file name, file size, resolution, creation date, checksum, and asset ID. Any differences between the two are highlighted in red, so you can instantly see which photo is the better version and delete the other with confidence.
Hash data for every scanned photo is saved to a local database, so subsequent scans only process newly added photos — making repeat scans dramatically faster. You can cancel any scan in progress at any time. Photos deleted from your library are automatically removed from the database, keeping everything in sync.
After you move a photo to the trash, DupSnap automatically rescans your library and refreshes the results. No need to restart the scan manually — just keep reviewing and deleting at your own pace until your library is clean.
Tap Exact Match Scan to find identical files, or Similar Match Scan to catch look-alike photos. The first scan processes your entire library; subsequent scans only check newly added photos, so they finish much faster.
Detected duplicates appear in a list. Tap any pair to open the detail view, where both photos are shown side by side with full metadata. Differences between the two are highlighted so you can make a clear decision.
Tap the Move to Trash button under the photo you want to remove. DupSnap automatically rescans and updates the list — just keep going until your library is exactly how you want it.
